Student Information Systems (SIS)

The Student Information Systems (SIS) contain data relative to the academic records of all Washington University students. It is the official record of the University. The student records maintained in SIS are highly confidential, therefore administrative access is limited to those Washington University personnel who have a need to know and/or update the information SIS conains. All users must comply with the provisions set forth in the Family Educational Rights and Privacy Act (FERPA) and all Washington University policies and procedures pertinent to the use of student records.

User Access Guidelines

Administrative access to SIS systems is defined in terms of both functionality and ownership. The ability to update student academic record information and student accounting data in SIS is generally restricted to selected Dean's Office personnel and CFU administrators. The ability to update course information in WUCRSL is restricted to Dean's Offices and key academic department personnel. Access to records of students in the WU School of Medicine is restricted to Medical School personnel. The reporting databases are available only to selected Dean's Office personnel and CFU administrators.

Personnel requesting access to the Student Information Systems (or requesting a change to their access) should complete the form below, obtain the necessary signatures, and submit the form to the Office of Student Records.
