WORKS WITH UNDERGRADUATES ON AN INDIVIDUAL AND GROUP BASIS TO ADDRESS CAREER ISSUES & PLANS & IMPLEMENTS PROGRAMS & SERVICES TO MEET STUDENTS' NEEDS. ALSO TEAMS WITH OTHER STAFF INCLUDING MBA ADVISORS, AND EMPLOYER RELATIONS AND OPERATIONS STAFF. RECENT EXPERIENCE IN CAREER COUNSELING IN A UNIVERSITY (PREFERABLY IN A BUSINESS SCHOOL) OR IN COLLEGE RECRUITING OR HUMAN RESOURCES. DEMONSTRATED ABILITIES IN THE FOLLOWING AREAS: TRAINING AND/OR INSTRUCTIONAL PROGRAM DESIGN & DELIVERY. EXCELLENT PRESENTATION,ORAL & WRITTEN COMMUNICATION SKILLS. PROFICIENCY IN MICROSOFT OFFICE SOFTWARE. UNDERSTANDING OF THE BUSINESS WORLD, JOB MARKET, AND CAREER FIELDS AND THEIR REQUIREMENTS IN THE LOCAL, REGIONAL AND NATIONAL MARKETS. STRONG COMMITMENT TO MEETING STUDENT & EMPLOYER NEEDS; POSSESS A CUSTOMER SERVICE FOCUS. ABLE TO WORK INDEPENDENTLY AND WITH A TEAM. FLEXIBILITY, GOOD SENSE OF HUMOR AND SINCERE INTEREST IN PROVIDING CAREER GUIDANCE TO STUDENTS. BACHELORS DEGREE REQUIRED (HUMAN RESOURCES, COUNSELING, EDUCATION OR RELATED FIELD); MASTERS DEGREE PREFERRED.

ASSIST STUDENTS BY PROVIDING ONE-ON-ONE ADVISORY SESSIONS; PROVIDE ASSISTANCE WITH CAREER INFORMATION & TRENDS, CAREER DECISIONS, JOB SEARCH STRATEGIES, RESUMES, COVER LETTERS & OTHER CAREER-RELATED ISSUES. PROVIDE OUTSTANDING CLIENT SERVICE TO STUDENTS & RESPOND TO THEIR NEEDS IN A TIMELY MANNER. CONSULT WITH OTHER ADVISING TEAM MEMBERS ON MATTERS REQUIRING GUIDANCE/ADVICE, DEPARTURE FROM CURRENT POLICY OR HAVE BUDGET IMPACT. MAINTAIN ACCURATE & TIMELY RECORDS OF STUDENT INTER- ACTIONS & EMPLOYEMENT & TRACKING STATUS IN THE WESTON STUDENT DATABASE. PARTICIPATE IN DESIGN & IMPLEMENTATION OF VARIOUS PROGRAMS SUCH AS WORKSHOPS & SEMINARS ON A VARIETY OF CAREER & JOB SEARCH TOPICS. PARTICIPATE IN DELIVERY OF MANAGING YOUR BUSINESS CAREER STRATEGY CLASS & DISCUSSION SESSIONS. WORK WITH STUDENT ORGANIZATIONS TO PROMOTE AN EFFECTIVE RELATIONSHIP WITH THE UNDERGRADUATE POPULATION & TO COORDINATE & DELIVER CAREER-RELATED ACTIVITIES. WORK WITH ACADEMIC ADVISORS & OTHERS IN JOINT PROGRAMMING PROJECTS & ISSUES/OPPORTUNITIES TO SUPPORT STUDENT CAREER DEVELOPMENT. PARTNER WITH THE EMPLOYER RELATIONS TEAM TO SUPPORT EMPLOYERS WHO RECRUIT ON CAMPUS, POST JOBS OR SEEK SEEK REFERRALS FOR UNDERGRADUATE EMPLOYMENT OPPORTUNITIES. INTERACT WITH EMPLOYERS TO GAIN FEEDBACK ABOUT THE PREPAREDNESS & COMPETITIVENESS OF UNDERGRADUATES FOR THE JOB SEARCH PROCESS. SHARE RESPONSIBILITY WITH OTHER PROFESSIONAL STAFF FOR HOSTING RECRUITERS AT LUNCH AS REQUESTED. ATTEND PRE-RECRUITING RECEPTIONS & PRESENTATIONS DURING & AFTER REGULAR BUSINESS HOURS. WORK WITH CAREER RESOURCES LIBRARIAN TO DEVELOP & MAXIMIZE RESOURCES FOR UNDERGRADUATES. KEEP ABREAST OF TRENDS & ISSUES IN THE CAREER SERVICES FIELD BY ATTENDINGCONFERENCES & SEMINARS WHEN POSSIBLE & APPROPRIATE, BY READING PROFESSIONAL PUBLICATIONS.
