Requirements:
BACHELOR'S DEGREE; ADVANCED DEGREE PREFERRED. MINIMUM OF THREE-FIVE YEARS EXPERIENCE IN FUNDRAISING, MARKETING OR BUSINESS RELATED FIELDS. STRONG INTERPERSONAL & WRITTEN COMMUNICATION SKILLS, INCLUDING ABILITY TO LISTEN, ANALYZE, ORGANIZE, PLAN AND PRESENT DETAILED INFORMATION. DEMONSTRATED SKILLS TO EFFECTIVELY MANAGE MULTIPLE, DETAILED AND TIME-SENSITIVE PROJECTS WITH APPROPRIATE FOLLOW THROUGH UNDER MINIMAL SUPERVISION. PERSONAL QUALITIES OF GOOD JUDGMENT, TEAM SPIRIT, TACT, TENACITY AND A FLEXIBLE OPPORTUNISTIC APPROACH TO THE WORK ENVIRONMENT. BASIC FAMILIARITY WITH PC WORD PROCESSING SYSTEMS AND PROCEDURES. Job Description:
ACTIVELY ASSIST THE UNIVERSITY-WIDE DEVELOPMENT FUNCTION OF THE OFFICE OF CORPORATE RELATIONS THROUGH THE PREPARATION OF STRATEGIC ANALYSIS, PROSPECT RELATIONSHIP-BUILDING ACTIVITIES, PROSPECT SOLICITATION, GENERATION OF PROPOSALS AND OVERALL DEVELOPMENT SUPPORT TO MAJOR GIFTS AND THE EXECUTIVE VICE CHANCELLOR FOR ALUMNI & DEVELOPMENT PROGRAMS. WORK WITH DEANS, SCHOOL DIRECTORS AND FACULTY TO HELP TO PROVIDE GIFT SUPPORT FOR PRIORITY PROGRAMS THROUGHOUT THE UNIVERSITY. HELP CONDUCT INITIATIVES TARGETED AT MEDIUM AND EMERGING ST. LOUIS AREA COMPANIES, INCLUDING STAFFING KEY HIGH LEVEL CEO VOLUNTEERS. MANAGE A CASELOAD OF ASSIGNED PROSPECTS WITH VISIT AND MOVES GOALS TO HELP BRING THOSE PROSPECTS THROUGH THE DEVELOPMENT GIFT CYCLE. CULTIVATE, VISIT AND SOLICIT KEY PROSPECTS THROUGHOUT THE COUNTRY. TRAVEL IS REQUIRED. PROACTIVELY UTILIZE VOLUNTEERS, ALUMNI, PARENTS, UNIVERSITY CONTACTS AND FRIENDS TO ADVANCE THE WORK OF THE OFFICE.
