Requirements: BACHELOR'S DEGREE AND EXPERIENCE IN AN EDUCATION/NOT FOR PROFIT INSTITUTION. ONE OR MORE YEARS OF EXPERIENCE WORKING WITH VOLUNTEERS AND SPECIAL EVENTS IN AN EDUCATION/NOT FOR PROFIT INSTITUTION. ABILITY TO PRIORITIZE MULTIPLE PROJECTS. EXCELLENT ORGANIZATIONAL AND WRITTEN/ORAL COMMUNICATION SKILLS. ABILITY TO WORK EFFECTIVELY WITH STUDENTS, FACULTY, ADMINISTRATORS, PARENTS AND HIGH SCHOOL COUNSELORS. ABILITY TO WORK EFFECTIVELY AS PART OF A TEAM AND INDEPENDENTLY. MUST BE FLEXIBLE WITH A WARM, PLEASANT, PROFESSIONAL PERSONALITY. MUST BE AVAILABLE TO WORK A FEW NIGHTS AND WEEKENDS A YEAR FOR SPECIAL EVENTS.


Job Description: COORDINATE AND PLAN ANNUAL APAP CHAIR CONFERENCE. COORDINATE 35+ APAP KICK-OFF (TRAINING) MEETINGS. COORDINATE AND PLAN 40+ INTERVIEW DAYS AND WORK WITH VOLUNTEERS. MANAGE PARENT PROGRAMS. COORDINATE AND PLAN SUMMER SEND-OFFS, ADMITTED STUDENT RECEPTIONS AND ON-CAMPUS EVENTS. BUILD RELATIONSHIPS WITH ALUMNI, PARENTS, CURRENT STUDENTS AND WASHINGTONUNIVERSITY COMMUNITY. LIMITED TRAVEL. WRITE ARTICLES FOR "CONVERSATIONS" NEWSLETTER. WORK WITH ALUMNI & DEVELOPMENT AND UNDERGRADUATE ADMISSIONS DATABASES. ANSWER TELEPHONE CALLS. TAKE RSVPS FOR EVENTS.
