Requirements:
A SUCCESSFUL, EXPERIENCED PROFESSIONAL WITH THOROUGH KNOWLEDGE OF INSTITUTIONAL DEVELOPMENT, MAJOR GIFTS AND CAPITAL CAMPAIGNS. MINIMUM OF FOUR (4) YEARS OF DEVELOPMENT EXPERIENCE WITHIN A COMPLEX UNIVERSITY. EXPERIENCE IDENTIFYING, CULTIVATING AND SOLICITING MAJOR GIFT DONORS OF $50,000 AND ABOVE. BACHELOR'S DEGREE REQUIRED WITH GOOD VERBAL AND WRITTEN COMMUNICATION SKILLS. ABILITY TO PLAN, COORDINATE AND MANAGE CAPITAL PROJECTS AND CAMPAIGNS. CLEAR DEMONSTRATION OF GOOD ORGANIZATIONAL AND PROJECT MANAGEMENT SKILLS. EXPERIENCE IN RECRUITING, ORGANIZING AND TRAINING VOLUNTEERS TO ASSIST WITH CAMPAIGN MANAGEMENT AND SOLICITATIONS. EXPERIENCE DEVELOPING CASE STATEMENTS, CAMPAIGN PUBLICATIONS, PROMOTIONAL MATERIALS AND FUNDRAISING PROPOSALS. DEMONSTRATED SUCCESS AS A TEAM MEMBER, WORKING WITH DIVERSE CONSTITUENTS IN A COMPLEX SETTING. EXPERIENCE WITH ADVANCED UNIVERSITY GIFT/PROJECT TECHNIQUES AND SYSTEMS. EXPERIENCE PREPARING CAMPAIGN MEETINGS/EVENTS.
Job Description:
ASSIST THE DIRECTOR AND ASSOCIATE VICE CHANCELLOR IN EXPANDING AND ORGANIZING THE CAPITAL PROJECT AND CAMPAIGN FUNCTIONS OF THE OFFICE OF MAJOR GIFTS AND CAPITAL PROJECTS. CO-MANAGE THE CAMPAIGN FOR A NEW UNIVERSITY CENTER AND OTHER CAPITAL PROJECT EFFORTS FOR VARIOUS INITIATIVES AS DIRECTED. MANAGE AND SOLICIT MAJOR GIFT PROSPECT CASELOAD. IDENTIFY, QUALIFY, CULTIVATE AND SOLICIT MAJOR GIFT PROSPECTS, LARGELY WITHIN THE ST. LOUIS AREA, BUT SOME TRAVEL MAY BE REQUIRED. MEET VISIT GOALS ESTABLISHED ANNUALLY. SERVE AS LIAISON WITH OTHER UNITS AND SCHOOLS AS REQUIRED. ASSIST WITH MANAGEMENT OF COMPREHENSIVE CAMPAIGN-RELATED ACTIVITIES INCLUDING: GIFT TABLES WITH ASSIGNED PROSPECTS; SOLICITATION TIMINGS WITH PROJECTS AND DATES; PROGRESS REPORTS ON CAPITAL PROJECTS; DEVELOPMENT AND COORDINATION OF VARIOUS VOLUNTEER STRUCTURES AND INDIVIDUAL COMMITTEES WITH FOCUS ON LEADERSHIP FOR CAMPAIGN PROSPECTS; MARKETING PLANS FOR SPECIAL UNIVERSITY CAPITAL PROJECTS. OTHER RESPONSIBILITIES AS ASSIGNED BY THE DIRECTOR OR ASSOCIATE VICE CHANCELLOR.
